Scaffolding

GC Safety Ltd. provides an independent Scaffolding Inspections service to London and the Home Counties.  Inspection findings and observations are recorded as part of a digital report. The report will  be sent  via email after every inspection to all relevant parties.

All reports are undertaken inline with section 12 & 13 of the 'Work at Height regulations 2005', with the contents of the report written to conform to schedule 7 'Particulars to be included in a report of inspection'.

To comply with legislation, all scaffolds must be erected according to design (including strength and stability calculations),  a note of calculations covering structural arrangements or inline with a generally recognised standard, i.e. NASC TG20 or Manufacturers guidance (i.e. Haki, Layher, etc.).

Scaffolds must be inspected and recorded at intervals not exceeding 7-days, after adverse weather conditions, after a collision or after significant adaption. 

Our scaffolding inspectors are experienced within the industry and have the training and competency to ensure that  scaffolds meet industry best practice and legislation. 

• The independent inspector will be experienced, trained and competent to undertake scaffolding inspections.
• The independent inspector will provide a non-biased report.

GC Safety Ltd. offers a scaffolding health and safety auditing service, checking for compliance of the scaffolding contractor onsite. All observations will be recorded within a fully comprehensive digital report. The report shall be issued by email to all agreed interested parties upon completion.

The subject areas checked & recorded within the report will comprise of:

• Records examined: e.g. drawings, briefings, Risk and method statements, toolbox talks, harness, PUWER & LOLER inspections, portable appliance testing, evidence of anchor testing, equipment certificates, etc.
• Personnel: Number of operatives onsite, checking for in date training.
• Health & Safety concerns.
• PPE Conformity.
• Protection of the public, site personnel and others.
• The scaffolders safe zone: Checking for safe working practices in line with NASC safety guidance SG4:22 'Preventing falls in scaffolding'.
• Scaffold conformity: checking the scaffold has been erected as per design or inline with a generally recognised standard.
• Safe system of works: checking the teams onsite are working as per their risk and method statement.
• Welfare facilities.
• Additional observations.
